Born in Miami, Florida, Cindy grew up in suburban Atlanta and Pensacola, Fl. She has resided in Texas for 30 years and, as her children and grandchildren live here, she considers Texas her home. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from South West Texas State University and a Masters degree in Psychology from the University of Houston, Clearlake. She has three grown children and is grandmother to seven grandchildren, to whom she refers as her grandies.
A believer in giving back to the community, Cindy is a member of many groups including the Texas Women’s League; the past President of the Pilot Club; past Chair of the Mayor’s Committee on Disabilities; a Chamber Member and past President of Arc of Wharton. She supports local fundraisers, especially anything that involves her grandies and works with local shelters to spay and neuter pets and strays.
